Public response to the Funcard system from fairgoers and midway guests has been overwhelmingly positive.  We've witnessed an immediate understanding from the public and a strong willingness to use the system.In September of 2011 during the Dixie-Classic Fair (played by James E. Strates Shows using Funcard), local media in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area reported on the ability of the Funcard system to help track lost children on the midway.  One headline read, "New Ride Cards, Wristbands Can Track Lost Children at Dixie Classic Fair."  In the story, Strates Shows explained, "If you have the receipt and know the  number on the child's pay-one-price card, we can actually get in our system and tell you what ride he is riding at that given moment."  Added benefits like these are part of what makes the system appealing to midway guests, but it is also the ease-of-use that is often the subject of public praise.
